Alan 8. I thoroughly enjoyed this, particularly the pieces that were extracted from individual's diaries. I know I shall enjoy reading it again. For me, also there was an uncanny link between Admiral Digby mentioned in this book and the biography of
Jane Digby which happened to be the next book I read.
