London Christmas Lights Visit December 2009
One reason for the visit this time was to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum's New Medieval and Renaissance Gallery . It is a very impressive space with far too much in it to take in in just one visit and so having been selective we look forward to our next visit.
Another reason for our visit apart from Christmas shopping and eating out was to look at the Christmas Lights around London. We happened to catch the opening night of the new Sherlock Holmes film as well during our wanderings. We started our walk in Knightsbridge and walked along Piccadilly, Regent Street, Carnaby Street, Oxford Street and Leicester Square. We thought of stopping to listen to the carol service in Trafalgar Square but by that time we were so cold the warmth of the restaurant was calling.
